We got our heads together and thought, “let’s start a blog and let all kinds of people know about the useful  things we find.”

One of us had an “ah-ha” moment after recommending the book Good Night, Sleep Tight by Kim West to several friends having trouble getting their babies to sleep. Several sleep-deprived friends bought it (and experienced success).

That idea of sharing and community and helping each other make this parenting journey a little bit easier made us both wonder about starting this site so we could share our finds with a larger group!

Deb’s Story

After I became a parent, I learned that I was discovering useful strategies, products and tactics for handling the new little person in my life from…friends and word-of-mouth. Since my mother didn’t breastfeed, I had to find out about how to do it from friends and a lactation consultant. Since my mother-in-law lives far away, I don’t get to benefit from her advice. Since I didn’t know many people who’d had the kind of birth I wanted for myself, I relied on friends. In a lot of areas, though, my friends and various parenting forums were helping me the most.

So, I’d like this site to be written like the friend who will tell you what she’s doing. I’m not lecturing or preaching or begging you to buy and use what I use. I’m just here to provide reviews and recommendations. After that, it’s all up to you!
